Jonathan has grown and matured immensely socially, emotionally, intellectually and physically, while attending Aming Tahanan Montessori for the last two years.
Miss Lydia has gone above and beyond being a teacher and care-giver, by working closely with us in all aspects, and helping him grow in all the virtues. As an only child, he has been given careful guidance in the classroom in learning to care for others, because of multi-age/level children. He has been allowed to exercise his need for seeking space and autonomy, exploring nature, and free-play- large-muscle movement using the large backyard, trees, plants, and a great sturdy play/swing-set.
Miss Lydia’s individualized lessons in Mathematics, using hands-on math manipulatives and individualized phonetics-based language arts lessons have helped Jonathan to maximize his acute intellectual abilities, while diagnosing and strengthening his weak areas through repetition as necessary. Science and Geography have emerged as two of his favorite subject areas because of the hands-on nature of the curriculum (engaging games and experiments).
Because music is a strength, the school having an area for listening to music equipped with an upright piano in the classroom, along with Miss Lydia’s singing and dancing, have enhanced motivation, making Jonathan smile and laugh! Jonathan has had many opportunities to draw/create art to express his feelings and love for his family.
Miss Lydia is very organized and sends home the week’s “school-work” on Fridays, so parents can easily peruse the progress with their child. Miss Lydia gives a daily report on each child and is very flexible in working with us on the hours at which Jonathan attends school, especially during times when the family has had special circumstances. Jonathan is always happy when I pick him up.

Herewith I would like to write a small review on one of the best Preschool/Daycare providers in Sioux Falls we have come across.
My little one joined a year ago with little (almost zero) exposure to other kids and learning activities. Today if we compare a year ago she has improved so much and excelled in almost every preschool skill /activity one can think of - including holding a pencil, tracing, dancing, listening to music / rhymes, saying prayers, likewise the list goes on.
As well, most importantly she gained lot of confidence and improved her gross motor skills very significantly. Miss Lydia, being a teacher and caregiver, works with parents and kids closely in all aspects. We are so lucky to have such a committed teacher, Miss Lydia.
This Montessori preschool is equipped with the best education aids, an outdoor play ground, books and is full of discipline and principles.
Without a second thought we highly recommend parents to consider sending little ones to Aming Tahanan Montessori Preschool.

Miss Lydia is such a caring person! Our son Leo started when he was two and a half and has learned so much. His learning goes beyond the basic numbers and lessons, but also learning proper social skills, how to do daily tasks and just how to have fun. I know that when he is there that he is learning and playing in a good environment. I wish all schools could be like this.

Aming Tahanan Montessori school has been a wonderful learning environment for our children. Not only is Miss Lydia an exceptional teacher but she truly cares for your child. I cannot say enough good things about her school and daycare and how lucky we are to have her in ours and our children’s lives.

Aming Tahanan Montessori school has been a wonderful learning environment for our children. Not only is Miss Lydia an exceptional teacher but she truly cares for your child. I cannot say enough good things about her school and daycare and how lucky we are to have her in ours and our children’s lives.

Ms. Lydia has been a wonderful caretaker for our children. She cares for them like they are her own kids. Our children clearly feel happy and comfortable around her. She has a safe environment for them with a wonderful playroom and spacious backyard. I have never seen her appear tired or stressed, and she always greets me with a warm smile. We feel fortunate to have Ms. Lydia care for our children and look forward to how they will continue to grow under her excellent care.
